Expeditions
On an experimental basis, we have launched the possibility of participating in our sailing expeditions.
The duration of the experience varies from 2 to 7 days, and includes participation in life on board, theoretical lessons and observation of cetaceans sailing in the Ionian Sea.
Among the topics covered:
- identification and biology of the species
- monitoring methods
- ethology
- data collection, management, and analysis
- environmental and anthropic interactions
The experience will take place while sailing in the waters of eastern Sicily and is open to all. Furthermore, for university students who send their request in time, it is possible to obtain the recognition of corresponding CFU.
Departures take place from the port of Catania.

FRIENDS OF MARECAMP AND THE DOLPHINS
We have created a network of friends who share our same passion for the sea, especially the constant commitment to protecting the vulnerable marine species of Sicilian waters. They are organizations of fishermen, tourist operators and diving centers that adhere to the "Friends of Dolphins" protocol, promising to respect a code of good conduct during their observation, and to report any useful sightings to Marecamp for scientific and conservation purposes..
