    Research and development

We have been studying the cetaceans of the Sicilian seas for over a decade to safeguard protected areas and species in the Mediterranean. We conduct monitoring and trials at sea to support networks of local and international collaborations in favor of the conservation of the marine ecosystem, and traditional sustainable professions such as small-scale fishing. We use citizen science to assemble communities of Ambassadors of the Sea.

    Schools at sea

We coined the term "Sea Education" to indicate the training, especially of young people, towards a better knowledge of the marine environment and the development of consciences with sustainable habits.

Our lessons take place in the classroom, on the beach, at the port, and while sailing in the Gulf of Catania.

Our students come from primary and secondary schools, both Italian and foreign.
